I don’t even know where to start with the perfection that is Casey and Chris. I got to meet them last summer on a beautiful day at Elizabeth Park Rose Garden for their engagement photos. They were so fun and so sweet. Their chemistry was quite palpable but I had no idea how truly awesome and epic this couple was.

Fast forward to their wedding day at Red 36. The day started out super hot with the sun beating down on us as we walked the cute streets of Mystic. There were fun jokes about Pepto, hopes that the insane clouds rolling in would just pass and some funny quips by their sister-in-law who I think might quite possibly be the greatest human alive.

Once the guests, the venue, the greatest DJ on earth (yeah, I said it), and I saw the clouds REALLY rolling in and thunder rumbling in the distance, we all thought for sure the ceremony would be delayed or brought inside.

Nope.

Casey and Chris are literally the most in love, coolest couple ever! They could give zero orange forest animals about the torrential downpour. They legit went ahead and got married, outside, in a tsunami with their epic sister-in-law holding an umbrella for their and a few of their closest family members and friends also under umbrellas (no judgment to the guests under the cover of the brewery…I too was there with you for awhile until I too had zero Labout the rain and ran out to grab photos of the first kiss).

The fact Casey and Chris put their love and wanting to say “I do” above the weather was friggen LEGENDARY! Shane (epic DJ) utilized the crazy vibes going on to get the party GOING! And Go it did! So much dancing, fun, just seriously the best time ever…so much so no one wanted to stop partying when it came to quiet time that the police were called (see photo attached for an awesome guest since I had sadly left by then).

This wedding will go down in history. Get married in the rain. Be so in love you just do it. That’s truly the story of legends, and I am so grateful Casey and Chris let me capture it for them!
