We first met Ashlyn and Corey via a video chat well over a year ago. They were planning their dream wedding in Hartford from North Carolina. I knew after that first chat that Ashlyn and I would be great friends L When I finally got to meet them in person for their engagement session, we had a wonderful time (even though it was a dreary little day)! We hit up downtown Hartford at Bushnell Park and then New Park Brewery where their rehearsal dinner was going to be. Fellow craft beer lovers always hold a special place in my heart o

I’ve loved getting to know Ashlyn over the past year. Our fun text to each other have always brightened my day and her sense of humor is perfection. I knew her wedding day was going to be just as extraordinary and it was!!!

Tim and I knew it was going to be a good day when we got to the hotel and their little flower girl, Maya, was watching Bluey and the bridesmaids offered us pizza. The St. Patrick’s parade and party going on during the wedding festivities also added to the lively day! Ashlyn danced with men clad in kilts and playing bagpipes, folks with green hair lovingly photobombed a few photos (welcomed with fun joy by the couple) and complete strangers cheered on the couple whenever they got a glance.

We LOVED getting to capture Corey and Ashlyn’s wedding. The children were adorable (I may have had to hold the flower girl once or twice because she was so flippin’ cute and sweet), the guests and wedding party were a blast, the DJ kept a great party going and the Society Room was a pleasure to work with as always. We had so much fun laying on the floor, using glow sticks and playing with the light to capture artsy legendary shots for them.

While Corey is from here, Ashlyn is from North Carolins so that’s where they live now. We already miss them and cannot wait to see them again!!
